My first lesson

It was my first A level lesson today. My brain hurts. I am looking at things differently (no bad thing), but because the others in the class are not at my level with their cameras I was using auto settings today – how frustrating!! I think I will use manual settings from now on or I will forget what I have learned.

Still, I learned about the things that go to make up a photograph, such as Line, colour, tone etc, and had fun wandering around the School taking photos instead of being sat in my office. The downside to that though is the work is still then when I get back to my desk – wot? no office fairy? I think we are looking at the photos tomorrow. Scary thought.

I also have a couple of photographers to research. They are Steve McCurry  http://stevemccurry.com/ and Edward Weston http://www.edward-weston.com/edward_weston.htm  hopefully you might like their photos – something to aim towards!!

Do you have a favourite photographer? I find them so inspiring and they give me ideas of how I can improve.
